Braxton's birthday was just a few days after, but because we were going to be in California on his actual birthday we had to celebrate it just two days after Jeff's. There were so many things to plan for the party, even though I tried to keep it as simple as possible. Braxton loves hotdogs so we decided to have a bbq over at my moms house with some of his favorites. Everyone kept telling me that I had to make his first birthday cake. I really had no idea where to start. I had an idea of what I wanted.. but didnt know if it would be possible, so I asked one of my best friends to help me. She has her own cake business and does awesome jobs. She was so nice to come over and help me every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without her! The theme was Disney Cars. It turned out so good. Both the cake and the party was awesome. Thanks to all our family and friends who came, supported us, and made the day so special!

Birthdays
We got to celebrate Braxton's first birthday this year. Little kids firsts are so much fun. Both Jeff and Braxton have a birthday in July and we decided it is pretty much the perfect birthday month. It's right in the middle of the year, not to close to Christmas, and there are a billion things you can do because of the warm summer weather. However, it is quite stressful for the mother (which is me now) to have to plan for both parties only 4 days apart. Needless to say, if I have a choice, I will try and avoid anymore July birthdays ;) So anyways, Jeff's birthday was first and for those who don't know, his passion is golf.. if he could golf everyday, he would. And even though he says he wouldn't, I'm pretty sure he would love me just a little bit more if I shared his passion for golf, or even just went with him every once and a while.. So, for his birthday that is exactly what we did! I surprised him by taking him golfing, just the two of us. And! I actually had a LOT of fun.
